We right-size the new SEER2 system with a Manual J calculation, remove and recycle the old unit, file DOB permits, and apply Con Edison and NYSERDA rebates.

The replacement process starts with a full assessment of your existing system — equipment age, refrigerant type, ductwork or line-set condition, and electrical panel capacity. We run a Manual J load calculation to right-size the new equipment, because oversized systems short-cycle and undersized ones never cool enough. Old equipment is removed and eco-friendly disposed of, the new system is installed and commissioned, and we file all NYC DOB permits. Most replacements take 1 to 3 days depending on complexity.

Upgrading to a SEER2 16+ system with a variable-speed compressor delivers the biggest efficiency jump — lower humidity, quieter operation, and smart thermostat integration out of the box. NYSERDA and Con Edison both offer rebates for high-efficiency upgrades that reduce your net cost. We apply the rebates on your behalf and include manufacturer warranty registration as part of the installation.
